Essay Beach is a small, quiet beach resort on Alabat Island in Quezon Province, just 5.5 hours by road and ferry from Manila. The resort has five individual units or native cottages and a new annex that offers family rooms that can accommodate up to 8 guests. The cottages are airconditioned and have ensuite bathrooms with hot water. The family rooms can either be airconditioned or fan ventilated. Each room has a private shower. Essay Beach is the place to relax, eat well and recharge your batteries. We do not have jet skis, speedboats, tennis or golf. But... You can relax on the sandy beach, swim anytime, snorkel the corals, paddle a banca or sail a sunfish. You can take a motorized banca and go fishing or just cruise around, or take the day and visit the other islands. You can bicycle or motorcycle and explore the Pacific side of the island. There are hills to hike, caves to explore and waterfalls to take a cool bathe in. For those who feel a little energetic, crab racing can be organised. . Later, romantic mood or not, visit the "drinking tree" and watch the sun as it sets over Lamon Bay and Mount Banahaw. Truly a perfect time to enjoy a bottle of icy cold beer.
